Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) is theatre performed by professional adult actors intended for a young / child-based audience.

ECTC has performed for more than 6,000 students since 2012. Over 1,600 children and families attended our TYA productions through school field trips or family outings last season alone. Each field trip experience at ECTC includes educational enhancement activities for the classroom and can include a post show Q&A with the actors if time permits.

Admission $10 per student and chaperone, Free for Teachers
Field trip MINIMUM is 20 students

Pinkalicious the Musical

You’ll be “tickled pink” with this tale, of Pinkalicious, who can’t stop eating pink cupcakes despite warnings from her parents. Based on the popular children’s book Pinkalicious, Pinkalicious the Musical is about learning the power of self-control and the importance of moderation, important life lessons to learn by all ages.
Running time: 60 min For Pre K - 2nd grade.

Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley

Adapted for stage by Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon

This holiday tale is a charming celebration of fan favorite characters from Pride and Prejudice, honoring the legacy of Jane Austen’s humor, playfulness and wit in a warm-spirited family holiday theatrical production. Mary Bennet, the bookish and oft-forgotten middle child, has her quest for independence sparked by an unlikely visitor. Will she be defeated...or become the heroine of her own story? Come join us to find out what lies ahead in Mary’s future as she explores the complexities of family and love.
Running time: 140 min (with one intermission) For 5th grade and older.

Treasure Island

Author Robert Louis Stevenson Adapted by Toby Hulse

The feared black spot, a dead Billy Bones, and a treasure map to Captain Flint's gold. Stow away on the Hispaniola with Long John Silver and the crew as they hunt for hidden treasure on a remote island. Our young hero Emily finds mutiny, treason, and double dealings around every corner in this reinvented classic tale that promises twists at every turn.
Running time: 120 min For 2nd grade and older.
