ECTC: My Home Away From Home

I have been at ECTC for 2 years, starting with the Wicked Witch in Shrek. I quickly fell in love with theatre and have said yes to nearly every class, show, and volunteer opportunity available since, making so many friendships along the way. ECTC has truly become my home away from home.

Highlights along the way include the opportunity of playing Squirelle 2 in Elephant and Piggie’s: “We Are In A Play”, which taught me how fast a professional level show comes together, plus harmonizing with a vocal trio. More recently tackling the “musical mountain” that is Hadestown: Teen Edition was another big moment of personal growth.

Everything seems to have come together to lead up to this moment. I can’t wait for my first big role: Inspector Clouseau in The Pink Panther Strikes Again. I have been hoping for a chance to really showcase all of the things I have learned at ECTC and this role delivers. I love how relatable Clouseau’s goofiness, use of funny accents and over-the-top dramatics are to play. The whole cast is so much fun to work with. They are all great actors that give so much to make the show what it is!

I am endlessly grateful for the friends, family and teachers who have helped me grow as a person and actor.
