A Junior Thespian troupe is an honor society that recognizes and rewards excellence among the participants in the theatre arts program. Troupe #89447 is a partnership with Seaside Neighborhood School giving middle school students the opportunity to expand their training and knowledge of the craft of theatre.

Our Junior Thespian Troupe welcomes students who are excited to grow as performers, artists, collaborators, and leaders while creating meaningful theatre alongside new friends. It is a place for young artists to discover their voice, build friendships, and experience the magic of theatre. Whether you're an experienced actor or stepping into your very first rehearsal, you'll find a place in our ensemble.

WHAT ARE THE EXPECTATIONS?

Being a Junior Thespian means becoming part of a dedicated team. We ask every member to bring an enthusiasm to be a bold creator and generous collaborator.

Students are expected to actively participate in rehearsals, productions, performances, and troupe events while demonstrating professionalism, responsibility, and respect for their fellow artists.

Students Will Participate In:

  • Fundraising Activities

Attendance

Consistent attendance is essential to the success of our ensemble. Families will receive a complete season calendar at the beginning of the year, and any known conflicts should be communicated as early as possible.

Communication

Strong communication helps make every season successful. Families can expect regular email updates, parent meetings, and group communication regarding rehearsals, performances, conferences, and travel.

WILL THERE BE ADDITIONAL COSTS BEYOND THE TUITION FEE?*

Yes. While tuition covers participation in the Junior Thespian program, families should also plan for expenses related to educational trips and festivals. These may include travel, lodging, meals, conference registration, competition fees, and spectator admission for family members attending performances or competitions.

WHO, WHEN, AND WHERE?

ECTC Education and Outreach Director Mallory McGill (Ms. Mal) is your Troupe Director. Rehearsals will begin on Saturdays from 1:00-4:00pm beginning on August 8th at ECTC, 560 Grand Boulevard, Suite 200.
