Her Next Stage

As I enter into my senior year of high school, I have Emerald Coast Theatre Company to thank for my decision to pursue musical theatre after I graduate. I’ve always needed an artistic outlet, and with a passion for singing, theatre seemed like a great fit. With nearly five years of educational experience under my belt, ECTC has contributed to the greater part of my theatre journey. I’ve gotten to be a part of many memorable shows, not only in educational productions, but also in professional shows and backstage as a tech hand. Thanks to ECTC, I have improved in a multitude of theatrical disciplines. 

Doing theatre has also helped me come out of my shell. The community at ECTC is second to none; I have met some of the friendliest people I know through their programs. Similarly, the staff has truly made my experience here so great. Getting to work closely with so many awesome professionals and mentors has definitely contributed to my decision to pursue theatre. They helped build me from the ground up, helping me grow in confidence, as well as advance my skillset immensely.

ECTC has prepared me to take on my next steps of life — whether that be in my day to day interactions, or my dream to do theatre as a career. Without ECTC, I would have never made that decision, and I am so grateful that I have. My time at ECTC has been unforgettable, and I look forward to continue making memories that last a lifetime.
